This Friday, March 9th, is this month’s scheduled meeting at the Center Region Council of Governments, 2643 Gateway Drive, State College, PA 16801.
It’s still early in the year, and if you haven’t paid your membership dues, don’t forget to bring an extra $25.
This month the work begins on the Parlor Magic Show at Webster’s After Hours, scheduled for May 12.
And remember, if the weather gets ugly, don’t risk the trip in... we’ll see you next time.
Hopefully we won’t have that issue this month. Also remember Rich Anderson is at Hillview Nursing Home, 700 Cayuga Ave. in Altoona. You can reach him on his cell at 814-315-7119. I’m certain he would appreciate any words of encouragement. Shall we schedule a visit?
Doors open around 6:00. You in?
Hope you can make it!
Your friendly Prez,
Friday December 4th 2015 we will host the 2-time Close-Up Magician of the Year and Lecturer of the Year; Eugene Burger!
When invited to dinner, at a restaurant, a party, or in a friend's home, you are often asked to perform some magic.
Eugene's lecture will focus on the material he does for this kind of show. He will also discuss the psychology of performing free shows for friends and family as opposed to shows for paying clients.
This is a rare opportunity to learn from the Dean of the coveted McBride Mystery School. No traveling, no hotels, and no $1500 admission!
Then on Saturday December 5th 12 lucky magicians will attend a 3-hour intensive workshop with Eugene! This workshop will begin with a demonstration and discussion on the effects that Eugene carries every day in his wallet. Then you'll focus on magic that uses psychology vs sleight of hand. Next you'll learn several jaw-dropping card effects. And finally take part in an open discussion where you can get Eugene's ideas on character development, script writing, the business of magic, and more!
Based on the interest so far THIS WILL SELL-OUT! If you want to take your magic to the next level SIGN UP NOW!
Lecture: $25 (Ring 352 members) $30 (non-members)
