Ring 352 had a great meeting last night!
Grand Pooba, Ring President, and All-Around Great Guy Timothy opened things up with a slick 3-coin vanish! No crazy moves. No finger-gymnastics. No $350 ITRs. Just gone!
Former Grand Pooba, Ring President, and still All-Around Great Guy David led a discussion on a really nice Oil & Water by one of our favorite performers; Paul Gordon! We mention Paul so often in our meetings we should get affiliate status!
I joined late and was immediately put on the spot. I performed an updated version of Bobo’s Mystery With a Half Shell. Timothy and Cory thought could catch me off guard. Hah! (Batman pose)

Newest member Enliang Wu was up next with a flashy 4 ace production and his work with the new Melero Rings! Even though he just started working on the rings the routine looked really good!
That led to Cory showing us his work with the TCC Rings mixing elements from several different creators including some very disarming unlinks and displays. Everyone was very impressed with the rings and we found that they are available in 5 different colors with a matching bag for just $14.95 from TCC . Then Timothy found that they were on sale for just $11.51 with free shipping from Penguin! A bit of a buying frenzy ensued. If you are at all interested in close-up linking rings you need to grab a set (or two or three) of these right away!
Gerald showed us a very cool trick involving a deck, a hole, a knitting needle, and some math homework! It was his update to an old “kid magic” trick that had us all very impressed! His handling would be a featured effect in a stand-up show.
Richard gave us a quick glimpse of a Cube Zag illusion that he is restoring for an illusionist friend. We can’t wait to see it when it’s done!
A mention of a Max Katz false shuffle in the Hollingsworth Routines DVD led Florian to show us his smooth handling of the Truffle Shuffle which I am still trying to master (grrr!) Next he showed us sandwich effect with an incredible Howard Hamburg method for literally THROWING a double to the table and keeping it aligned! It was nothing short of amazing and had us all leaping for our decks. It turned out to be pretty accessible with just a bit of practice. Wow!
Joe Berman dropped in and told us about some time he spent learning the move from Howard at a lecture and how masterfully he performed it. Joe then gave us some insight into some of the popular new replica coins and how to properly soften and age them. As well as how NOT to soften and age them! Next he showed us a yet-to-be-released product; a stunning set of cups for the Tommy Wonder cups and balls complete with the required bag and pom-pom! You could almost see Timothy‘s finger twitching, looking for a BUY NOW button!
Thank you to everyone for tuning in last night and for making it another fun and informative Ring 352 get-together! See you next time!
